The exact spot where Forrest Fenn's treasure chest was hidden has been widely-known within the search community for several years. I matched the log and stick at Nine Mile Hole in May 2022 and posted a video of my find: https://youtu.be/MzthoGTjNac

Justin extensively grid-searched the Nine Mile Hole area in 2021 and that footage is what's shown in the Netflix series. At the time, only the correct general area was known so I think they just filmed a similar log/twig for the ending. Justin clarified this detail on X: https://x.com/ReelLifeJustin/status/1905192708093714660

The full evidence for Nine Mile Hole as the hiding spot is presented here: https://www.fennchest.com/

Thank you!!! I'm convinced by this and the accompanying video. I'm just glad there's an ending, no thanks to Fenn or Steuf.

Hey Paul! It was a fascinating, multi-year search for a treasure. I agree that Fenn might have had the decency to at least reveal the general geographical region where the treasure was found — and not reveal the finder’s identity. I look forward to the series.

There certainly is a lot of false information in this article. Lol

The treasure chest that Posey bought is a fake. And 9MH is NOT the solution. It has not been confirmed by anyone. It is speculation. I’m not certain why you would post such BS…

I tell you what I’ll do. I’ve got $20,000 to anyone that can prove Forrest Fenn hid a treasure chest or that Jack Stuef found a treasure chest. You definitely can’t have a solution if you can’t even prove that a treasure chest was ever hidden or found.

I've heard this argument made many times. All I can say is that if you don't believe photographic proof, statements made by Forrest when he was alive, statements made by the finder, and by Fenn's family and a crew from Netflix that worked on this for three years , well, I don't know who you will believe. I guess my question is, why should anyone believe you?

With all due respect, I would think that the Writer and Producer of true crime stories for a major news media outlet would be more apt to spot a hoax like Forrest Fenns treasure hunt. Perhaps you’ve gotten used to…fake news?

What photographic proof? There isn’t any that I’ve seen. A photograph of Forrest Fenn and Jack Stuef sitting at a table with the treasure chest doesn’t prove that either one of them hid or found the treasure chest. Please, elaborate on what you mean by photographic proof? What statements by Forrest(did you know him personally?)Fenn are you referring to? Forrest Fenn never disclosed that Jack Stuef was the Finder. Statements from the Fenn family are very contradictory if you actually do research on the subject. Perhaps you’d like to refer to the affidavits presented by fake Jack Stuef, Zoe Old and Karl Sommer the Fenn attorney? Allow me to give you some facts on those. First, how can Zoe Old gift the treasure chest to Jack Stuef if he legitimately found it? Second, how can Zoe Old gift it to him after Forrest Fenns death(9/7/2020)if Forrest Fenn already gifted it to Jack Stuef in Karl Sommers office on June 12th, 2020? Why did these people in New Mexico find it necessary to use a notary licensed in Nashville, Tennessee? I live in Nashville, Tennessee. When these affidavits were made public I immediately drove to the State Licensing Board. There I was told that this notary had jut recently obtained the license. The agent also found it extremely odd that there was literally no contact information for this person. So how did the Fenns, Jack Stuef or Karl Sommer come to find this person? BTW, that notary let that license expire. I didn’t watch the Netflix documentary because it is clearly a joke and I’m certain there’s literally not a single shred of proof in that documentary proving that Forrest Fenn hid a treasure chest, that Jack Stuef found a treasure chest or confirmed location.

Allow me to add some more information for you. The treasure chest and olive jar that were sold at auction are both fakes. I will admit that they could quite possibly have belonged to Forrest Fenn, but they’re not what he claims to have hidden. In his memoir on page 130 he claims that the text in the olive jar is printed so small that a magnifying glass is needed to read it. Have you seen a picture of the fake olive jar that was sold at auction and then passed on to the JCB treasure hunt? If not, I suggest that you have a look. On page 129 in the memoir he writes that an antiquities scholar claimed that the treasure chest was of Romanesque design and was most likely made around 1150AD. The fake treasure chest that was sold at auction and is now owned by Justin Posey has a “made in France” makers mark stamped into the bottom of it. France began this practice in the early 1800s. So is the antiquities scholar and Forrest Fenn, who also dealt in antiquities incorrect? Is Forrest Fenn a liar?
